Kate Haywood wins a prize at the 56th Premio Faenza International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art 09'





Kate has won a Prize in memory of “Eleuterio Ignazi” reserved for a young ceramist for her work “Red multiform"

"Held for the first time in 1938, the Competition of Contemporary
Ceramic Art “Premio Faenza” turned international in 1963 and in this specific
sector is the event that boasts the title of being the first of its kind and of
the longest duration. The “Premio Faenza”, which is awarded to the winner of the
International Ceramic Art Competition of Faenza is still today one of the most
important ceramic recognitions on a world wide level.

The aim of the 2009 edition of the International Ceramic Art
Competition is to bring the newest and most innovative proposals in the field of
ceramic art to Faenza and to offer this cultural event to the public as part of
the International Ceramic Events organised by the International Museum of
Ceramics in Faenza - Foundation, to be held between 27th June and 27th
September, 2009."
