Leonor Hipólito is showing works in a series of Private Views which last for one night in one venue. The image shows a piece from a Private View in December.

"With Private View I intend to show in private spaces site specific installations promoting moments of gathering and talk. The projects are always realized in close collaboration with the hosts and last one evening."

"With Heritage I have initiated the cicle of interventions which under the idea of Private View happens in different private spaces.
Each intervention represents a different body of work for it takes in account the particular characteristics of both house and host.
Within the variety of events from Private View it is intended to trigger sensations only possible to experience in the specificity of the chosen places.
Every intervention 'site specific' is developed in close relation to the host participant and it is presented in one-time show."

"The body, borderline of two worlds, the personal and the social, became along epochs the ideal platform where emotions, relations and stories are revealed.

In a language pliant to the needs of each culture jewels charm and reflect what each of us concedes as being precious.

Taking as a starting point works of the Museum of S. Roque the interest of this project lies beyond their splendour: in what they potencially reflect, giving space for new interpretations on usage and meaning in jewellery, offering views beyond the ornamental, where the body becomes performative."
